EMBRACING OUR VISION
Learn how Compass Communities, rooted in Nashville, TN, transforms lives through exceptional housing and community-focused care.

OUR STORY
Founded in 2021 by Michael Whiteley and Sam Froerer, Compass Communities is a Nashville-based company dedicated to enhancing lives through B and C class multifamily properties in Tennessee. With a focus on delivering delightful resident experiences through meticulous attention to detail.
Impacting Lives
Our mission is to impact as many lives as possible for good. We believe better housing leads to better outcomes for individuals, families, and communities. Every home we manage is an opportunity to improve lives with intentional service and care.

Guiding Principles
Residents First
We serve people, not units. Every decision we make, every system we build, every standard we hold-is designed to improve the lives of the residents we serve. We think like owners, act like neighbors, and always put the resident experience at the center.
Full Effort, Every Day
We give 100%-not because it's easy, but because people deserve our best. We show up prepared, engaged, and focused. We don't make excuses. We take ownership. We do the work.
Serve First, Lead Always
Leadership is an approach, not a position. Whether we're solving a problem, cleaning a unit, or helping a teammate, our instinct is to serve. We lead by example and show up for each other when it counts.
Operational Excellence
We don't see operations as paperwork or process, it's who we are. From how a door closes to how a note is written, we're in every detail. We build systems that run clean and scale smoothly, not because it's easy, but because residents notice. The way we operate is a reflection of what we value-and we aim to get it right, every single time. Continuous improvement.
Do It Different
We challenge the standard. We question what "normal" looks like in this industry, and if it isn't working, we do it different. We're not here to follow industry norms, we're here to invent what comes next, even if it looks strange at first.
